Irish Creek Ride Starts Sunday at 10:00am

Ride Recap: Great ride out to Pinaus Lake for campfire lunch. We were the dirty dozen not far into ride.

10:00am Start Sunday August 23, 2020

August 23 is National Ride the Wind Day, of course it’s a day to hit the trails. Steve said we haven’t had a club ride for far too long so thanks to him for asking you to join him at Irish Creek Road off Highway 97.

All the usual stuff applies:

  • COVID-19 is still around, everyone keep their distance for maximum happiness
  • Anyone can attend, we encourage non-members to come check out a couple of club rides
  • Make sure your machine is in good mechanical condition and pack your repair/emergency supplies
  • Bring a lunch and drinks, Steve usually has a campfire to roast some wienies
  • Come prepared for all weather conditions, it can change fast in the high country
  • The trail is quad and side x side friendly, everyone will fit all along the route

Rides and events are open to everyone, we encourage new riders to come out for a couple of rides to meet club members, find new trails and get a sense of the club before joining.

    1. No Tim Hortons meet this time, just meeting at the staging area on Irish Creek Road. It’s pretty easy to find, when heading north on Hwy 97N as if you were going to Kamloops, you’ll pass Spallumcheen Golf Course then Westside Road on the left, from there it is just over 4km to where you turn left onto Irish Creek Road, then drive up the road 3kms to where the public portion ends and park on either side of the road leaving room for traffic to get through.

  1. Sorry to have been away camping and missed the Irish Creek ride. We are club members but never have been able to coordinate ourselves for a ride in order to meet other riders.
It is quite close to where we live and am wondering if anyone has a GPS track of some sort from the ride we could use to go and do the ride ourselves in our SxS? Or even just a map of some sort showing the route would be great as well.
    Regards from Geoff and Marilu

    1. Hi Geoff and Marilu,

We’ll share a track from this ride and others that extend off from the Pinaus Lake area, watch your email.
