Crowfoot Mountain Ride with GKAA & SBR

Saturday August 17

This Saturday ride to the top of Crowfoot Mountain with the Greater Kamloops ATV Association and the Shuswap Backcountry Riders is one not to miss. It’s an earlier start than we’re used to but it has to be with the distance we’re going.

The Vernon Club is going to attend the ride and meet up with the Greater Kamloops ATV Association and Shuswap Backcountry Riders but to help alleviate congestion on the trails we’re going to get an earlier start.

Vernon Ride Time & Plans

Our goal is to make it to the upper parking lot at Crowfoot Snowmobile area around 8:45am. This means being at the store at the Squilax bridge at 8:15am for the 30 minute drive to staging. That also means you need to leave Vernon at 7:00am to make it on time. If you’re going to ride with the “early” Vernon crew be sure to email [email protected] or text 250-550-5290 so we know to look for you.

GKAA & SBR Ride Times & Plans

Kamloops & the Shuswap Riders are going to meet at the store on the right after crossing the Squilax Bridge at 8:45am, departing there at 9:00am for the 30 minute drive to the Crowfoot Snowmobile Club parking lot. Unload and be ready to ride by 9:45-10:00am after a quick rider meeting.

It’s a 5 1/2 hour ride (not including lunch break) and like most rides to elevation it will be a rough and technical ride. We’ll be stopping to chat at lunch time so bring your food and drinks. Remember no drugs or alcohol on club rides.

Rides and events are open to everyone, we encourage new riders to come out for a couple of rides to meet club members, find new trails and get a sense of the club before joining.

The Vernon ATV Club promotes responsible all terrain vehicle use. Riders must must carry their driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of $200,000 liability insurance for riding on forest service roads. Quad riders must wear a helmet, side x side riders aren’t required by law to wear helmets but we recommend they do.
