Allen is your ride leader for this annual favourite to the top of the world.

Meet at the Enderby & District Chamber of Commerce at 8:45am Saturday September 19 where we’ll discuss how we’re getting to the staging area and where to park. It takes approximately 30 minutes to drive to Enderby from Vernon.

This is a really rough ride as you climb closer to the lookout, it’s suitable for intermediate level and up riders. The weather changes quickly at this elevation (2250m/7380′) so come prepared for the extremes from snow to hot and sunny.

Plan on being out for most of the day, it takes a couple of hours to get to the lookout and we spend some time enjoying the views from the lookout before heading back down.

9:30am Start, Saturday September 12

It looks like Saturday is the rainless day this weekend so let’s round up all the riders that like to take their time, are new the club or just want to see some of Noble Canyon we don’t usually see when we’re in more of a hurry.

The ride will start from the cattleguard on Noble Canyon Rd on Lavington at 9:30am. Please be ready for the pre-ride safety meeting at 9:15am, non-members are welcome but must sign the waiver to participate.

This is going to be a pokey ride, we will keep the speeds down and explore the views, points of interest, rec sites and anything else we can think of that’s interesting or off the beaten track. Bring a snack, we’ll have one 15 minute break along the ride. This will be a beginner level ride and will be wrapped up by 12:30pm back at the cattleguard.

Please unload your ATV at the cattleguard and park your car/truck/trailer along the paved portion of Noble Canyon without blocking any driveways or the turn around area at the cattleguard. ATVs aren’t allowed on the paved portion of the road but are ok on the gravel after the cattleguard.

If you’re grumbling about yet another Noble Canyon ride, the ride leader’s truck is broken but they have trail access to Noble Canyon so it’s Noble or nothing.

Never have people been so happy to be so wet!

Seven smiling soggy riders today on our first ride back after the ORV ban. Not a single complaint that it rained throughout the ride. The ride covered 58km in Noble Canyon first on the Bardolph Lake side then up Rhino Rd to Dixon Dam then back home.

The puddles were dry and still dusty in spots at the start of the ride, riding back along the same trail those puddles were 4-6″ deep. It’s great seeing the rain recharging the creeks and providing the moisture trees need going into winter.
